This specially designed hiking therapy program aims to provide special needs children with an enriching and therapeutic outdoor experience. Through guided nature walks, teamwork activities, and sensory exploration, children will develop physical coordination, social skills, and confidence in a supportive environment. The program is structured to cater to a range of abilities and includes highly trained guides to ensure safety and a positive experience for all participants.


Program Details:

Meeting Point:

  • Meeting location: Ruko Jungleland area at 07:00 (Share location will be sent via chat).

Duration:

  • 1-day program from 07:00 to 14:00.

Participants:

  • Children with special needs, ages 7-15.
  • Accompanied by parents/guardians.

Activities Include:

Nature Walks

  • Gentle hiking routes through safe and accessible trails.
  • Sensory engagement (listening to birds, touching leaves, smelling flowers).

  • Group rope jumping and human knot to encourage social interaction and teamwork.
  1. Mindful Breathing and Relaxation
  • Breathing exercises in a serene environment to help children manage stress and emotions.

  • Fun and stimulating search for natural objects (e.g., specific leaves, rocks, etc.).
  1. Storytime in Nature
  • Relaxing storytelling session in an open area to foster imagination and relaxation.
  1. Volunteering and Participation Activities
  • Each child will have a role to play (carrying light equipment, leading the way, etc.).

Equipment & Outfit:

  • Clothing:
  • Wear a long-sleeve, elastic, and quick-drying top for comfort.
  • Comfortable, long pants that do not restrict movement. We recommend elastic materials (avoid jeans).
  • Hiking shoes that are comfortable, non-slip, and paired with socks.
  • Head protection such as a cap, hoodie, or bucket hat.

Program Requirements:

  1. Reservations:
  • Minimum 1 week in advance.
  • Maximum 2 days prior to allow proper scheduling.
  1. Payment:
  • A 50% downpayment is required to confirm the reservation.
  1. Participant Guidelines:
  • Follow all rules and instructions for safety.
  • Prohibited items: Narcotics and sharp objects.
  1. Rescheduling:
  • Rescheduling is allowed under emergency conditions, with up to two chances to reschedule.
